Birds of a Feather Rescue Has to Relocate

We are looking for funding to facilitate an unexpected move. Since being in our current location we have reroofed, completely insulated, made a great many improvements and upgrades to the buildings and landscape. With that said the place was reappraised at close to 4 times the original purchase price and now they are having us move so they can profit from the work done.

I am on a fixed income and can’t do this without help. Most funding comes out of pocket and cuts my other expenses short. Since 2011 there has been right at 4000 birds coming through here. Please help us relocate and continue the work we do.

Some are registered with the service animal registry and visit hospitals, nursing homes, and schools. We also do summer camps for children for the local Animal Shelters and the Salvation Army. We have booths at Earth Day, Day on the Green and at The Blessing of the Animals at St. Francis Winery. We try to educate people before buying a bird so they understand the commitment, expense, and longevity of these birds. Too many do not receive the love and proper care needed. Veterinary care is costly and so is feed these days. We are trying to get funds to build enclosures.
