Thank you so much PTA

So our challenge to you. Are you ready to face your fears? To dig deep and find that

inner strength for the children of Birdlip school? Do you have what it takes to Walk.

On. Fire?

YES! You absolutely do, and what an achievement it would be! Life changing… Promise!

We need you, your friends and family (over 18’s only) to take this massive step into fear, to help us fund the development of the outside learning space desperately needed at Birdlip School.

This incorporates a new breakout space to be used for a multitude of learning opportunities, and the potential renovation of the old leaking shelter! The refurbishment of the inside of the school that happened last summer has dramatically improved the environment for our children so we need to do the same outside.

The heating system in the school also needs to be replaced to become more efficient from the old style storage heaters that we currently have… so, we need to raise 15k to help make that happen too. It will give the children the space they need to be active and creative… somewhere warm and purposely designed. This space is needed more than ever.

WE ALL ASK OURSELVES WHAT CAN I DO TO HELP MY SCHOOL – WELL THIS IS IT. BE A FIREWALKER!

We already have 6 teachers signed up to face their fear and walk the fire for the children of Birdlip School… showing that they really will do anything for the children they teach.

We now need YOU to sign up and join the adventurers too, and to push yourself further than you ever thought possible. And of course help us raise this vital money… TOGETHER WE CAN DO THIS!

Does your company do match funding… would you be able to walk the walk and raise double to money?

Do you have a group of friends that have been waiting to take on a challenge together?

The fire walk will take place on the 25th March at Miserden Village Hall and the event will kick off from 1pm with the fire walk taking place at dusk.

There will be snacks and drinks provided for all the walkers along with a personalised T-Shirt.

We only have space for 60 walkers so don’t waste time get signed up and help get raising money!

Spectators to watch YOU walk fire are welcome too. There will also be food and drinks available for purchase as they watch you walk fire. There will also be activities for the children including a ‘children walk’ that they can be sponsored for… don’t worry we won’t get them to walk on hot embers! But they can be involved and be an important part of raising funds.

We don’t just do firewalking. We make FIRE WARRIORS!

You must sign up by the 21st Jan 2023! Don’t look back and wish you had!
