Hi everyone. Most of you know the story, Birdie (my cat) had foreign object surgery on Saturday, October 11th, 2025. It was successful, but Birdie is slow to bounce back, so she has been re-hospitalized for monitoring. This isn't atypical for cats, who struggle to eat when they are feeling poorly and cannot metabolize their own body fat without serious consequences. She will be in the hospital for a couple more days for nausea and monitoring until her intestines start moving again.
It's not easy for me to ask for support, because sometimes that's been lacking in my life. I do save money every month for emergencies, instead of pet insurance. I can pay this off, but as I am still in school, help would...help. I don't expect much or want anyone to donate if they are struggling, but if you are able to support, that is appreciated.
I absolutely adore this little bean, and can't wait until she is home with me. If for some reason the donations went beyond the current costs, money would be donated to the MEOW Foundation (her first home).
