Birdie is fighting a grade 2 mammary carcinoma, shes already had a right chain mastectomy and the biopsy shows metastasis into one of her lymph nodes and vessels, which means she needs Chemo to continue fighting. I have some moneg saved and am working on raising more thru various photo shoot sales, digital collages and more. But I kept getting asked if we had a go fund me set up, so here it is for anyone who wants to help.
BIRDIE BACKSTORY LORE:
I found her when I stopped with Kevin at an Arby's parking lot about 40 minutes from home she came out of a sewer drain Culvert type thing in the grass in front of the Arby's and started screaming at us for chicken strips. Which I immediately gave her. It took us 3 hours to gain her trust enough for me to scruff her and nearly get her in a carrier when someone yelled out a truck window "yay!!" And she wiggled out of my grasp and ran for another sewer drain. She actually growled at me after I pursued her. I left defeated and sad and frantically searching for someone to help. Luckily someone did, a live trap foster for a local rescue got her that night.
I made collages to raise the money to get all her teeth pulled because they were so rotten and infected.
When she was ready for adopt her foster messaged me and said she was taking her to a petstore just then, that happened to be right next to the grocery store I was heading to.
So we went to say hi.
She was instantly so loving and rubbing on a catnip pickle in her pen. We went to get groceries and by the time we were leaving kevin said we should got get her.
I was so happy. She fast became my favorite thing on the planet. Shes silly, extra sweet, tough, and so loving.
After losing my soulmate cat to cancer a few years before, Birdie healed my heart in ways I didnt think was possible.
I felt whole again.
We fought for my tink and got a year and a half more with her that was incredibly important and good time. She was playful, thriving, and ready for adventure while on chemo. It was wild to see.
I see alot of tink in birdie, she is so patient and graceful, she handles car rides and vet visits beautifully.
Im here to fight as hard and harder if I can for birdie as I did for tink. We know so much more now. We have the best doctors, the best support systems, and the best flexible job to take the very best care of her. But what my job lacks is consistency, especially thru winter months.
We have minimum 6 chemo treatments ahead of us, imaging, blood work, and who knows what else. Anything you give goes directly in a birdie savings account. If somehow we see her to remission and have anything left over I will be saving it for future medical needs (we have 7 cats total, I love them all so much but Birdie is my soulmate)
Thank you so much
