Hi.
Earlier today my beautiful Birdie was hit by a vehicle on the highway near Errington BC. In the panic a nice lady directed me to Central Island Emergency Veterinary 24 minutes away. Dr Wilson says Birdies hind right leg needs to be amputated. She has suffered no major trauma to the rest of her body thankful and is expected to make a great tripod.
The clinic generously offered to cap cost at $4000. Surgery is happening later this evening.
Birdie is a young spirited pup who didn’t deserve this but definitely deserves a shot at life.
I am building a house on Denman with help of my brothers, dad and friends. I work as a Youth Outreach Worker on Denman and Hornby. I have little kiddo starting school this year. I have never asked for money but now I must.
This cost is more than my “rainy day fund” and could really use support for the veterinary cost. Birdie and her sister Sheeba have a wonderful life ahead of them on acreage.
I’m floored and any little big would be a big help. Thanks so much ❤️
Sara
