Bird Egg Display Case- Aaden Lee's Eagle Project

Donation protected
Hello, I'm Aaden lee and I've have been in the troop for the past 6 years of my life. For my Eagle Scout Service Project, I will be designing and building a custom wooden display case to showcase 12 native California bird eggs. This project is being completed for Sycamore Grove Park and will serve as a replacement for their current outdated and unethical display, which contains real bird eggs. Each egg in the new display will be carefully modeled using 3D printing technology and then hand-painted to accurately represent the appearance of real eggs. The new display will provide an ethical, educational, and visually engaging way for visitors to learn about native California bird species while protecting wildlife and following conservation best practices.

The display case will primarily be used as an educational tool during the park’s school programs for local elementary students. These programs aim to teach children about local wildlife, ecosystems, and the importance of conservation. By offering a hands-on, interactive way to explore the diversity of bird species native to California, the display will help spark curiosity and appreciation for the natural world among young learners.
