BIPOC Self Taught Chef needs your help!
Hi my name is Chef Jean-Roody!
I am originally from Haiti but now live in Salt Lake City, Utah serving up some Haitian goodness. Just like many small businesses, COVID-19 nearly forced me to shut down my business after 5 successful years with the local farmer’s market, corporate clients, private events, etc. I had to shift into doing Food Trucking this year which is still a learning curve for me and my team. Luckily, I’ve had the support of a local non-profit Versatile Image who specializing in branding & marketing and has helped me cut cost with integrating social media marketing into my business model for free. Even with this support which makes it easier for our customers to find us, truthfully, I am still barely breaking even. Despite my short comings, I still provided support to our frontline workers by providing meals to Intermountain and serving the homeless around Salt Lake. I believe it’s important to continue to support the community I live in regardless of my level of success.
Now, I am asking for your support. This GoFundMe campaign was proposed by Black Lives Matter Utah alley Sarah Burningham Simkins; we’ve been growing our relationship since 2018. These donations will be covering revenue lost, employee wages, and recouping cost for equipment. My team & I thank you in advance! We appreciate your support <3
