This is one of our guinea pigs. Her name is Ginger. The piggy snuggling under her chin is Licorice. Licorice got really sick suddenly in September, and we had to make the tough choice to help her pass peacefully at the vets office. Since then Ginger's health has also declined. The vet needs to biopsy a mass she has, and remove a bladder stone that is lodged in her urethra.
Total cost for this will be between $450-$600. If it's cancer we plan to manage her pain levels, and keep her comfortable until such time as she tells us she's ready to go. We just need to know what is going on because if antibiotics will heal it we'd like to be able to do that, and if it's something worse we want to make sure her final days are as comfortable and happy as possible.
Please help us with our girl. Losing Licorice has been so hard for her, and us. We don't want to lose her too. She turned 5 on August 7th of this year. Her breed can live for 8 years or more. We tried to find a way to get financing for the cost of this vet visit, but got denied since I'm on unemployment right now.
Please donate what you can, and if you can't donate please just share everywhere. Thank you!
