Stage IV Lung Cancer

Hi, my name is Jody Bromley!! I am a 47 year old mom to three amazing kids, including my amazing daughter with Down’s Syndrome who needs extra support and care.

In December 2021, I caught COVID and could not get over it. A CT Scan and biopsy showed I actually have Lung Cancer. More tests showed it had moved to my lymph nodes and was Stage 3. I had 30 rounds of radiation, 6 rounds of chemo, and then surgery to remove most of my left lung. Doctors thought they had gotten it all but, unfortunately, just before Christmas this year, it was found that a previous spot on my brain was missed and it had spread. I just finished 12 rounds of whole brain radiation. I have been off work for almost a year. You would normally see my smiling face down at the New System Store. 

The best way for them to decide how to treat me next is to test my biomarkers. In Canada, that comes at a whopping cost of 3500.00 which is not feasible so I am asking for help. I just want to fight as long as I can with the best tools in hand. Anything over and beyond that amount, would be used to cover expenses, bills that have gone to the wayside, and funeral pre-planning. If you have read this far, I thank you. Update: Raised enough to get my biomarkers tested but, unfortunately, they were all negative which is not the outcome we were hoping for. Any money raised now, will be used to ease some of the financial burden of me not working, travel costs, funeral costs, etc.
