Binksy’s Brain-Raising Money for BrainCharities

Phil Binks, Chris Pickering, Carl Butler, Dave Boswell and Barry Meanwell are running the Walkington 10k on Friday 9 July 2021 to raise money for several brain tumour charities who have helped the Binks family recently.

Anna underwent a craniotomy in June 2021 and is recovering well. Anna and Phil are overwhelmed with the support of their amazing village community, family and friends and would like to give something back to the charities who have provided them with information and support throughout this tough time.

In addition to the gents running, there will be a tombola and cake stall on the same evening run by the ladies.

The charities to benefit will be Yorkshire Brain Tumour Charity, Brain Trust and The Brain Tumour Charity. Monies raised will pay for much needed information and support to be offered to patients and families diagnosed with a primary brain tumour. The support varies from online support groups, information boxes and access to specialist family support. Additionally we would like to support ward 40 and 4 and the fantastic Neuro Oncology team who have looked after Anna.
