Bingo's Emergency FLUTD Treatment
Donation protected
Hello!
My 1 1/2 year old cat, Bingo, was diagnosed with Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease (FLUTD) on 9/5/24. This disease can cause sudden urinary blockages, which are life threatening and will cause death if not treated immediately.
This month has caused so much anxiety for the both of us. We have had numerous visits to the emergency vet, one of which resulted in an overnight stay to treat a blockage. We have since had to go back to the ER due to complications.
It is not uncommon for him to have another blockage in the near future while he recovers at home.
These visits are costly. I have used every financial resource available in addition to funds I had previously saved. Pet insurance will not cover his condition, and the ER will not treat him if you cannot pay the full amount at that time.
If he continues to block despite treatments, he may need a surgery to widen his urethra to reduce the risk of future blockages.
Bingo is the sweetest, cuddliest boy, and he still has so much more life to enjoy. Anything you are able to give is beyond appreciated. I am so scared that if this happens again, I may not be able to afford to save him. I just want to give him the best chance possible.
Thank you,
Emily & Bingo
