Bingley Golf Club Charity Challenge

We at Bingley St Ives Golf Club are raising money for two charities very close to our hearts this year: firstly, local Sue Ryder hospice Manorlands, which has cared for a number of our members and continues to do so.
Secondly, in memory of my father, My Name’5 Doddie Foundation which supports those suffering from Motor Neurone Disease and their families, as well as funding research into a cure.
I as Lady Captain this year, am working together with the Men's Captain and the President, to run a number of events to raise funds, including a Gin Tasting Evening, Mixed Golf Match, my Midsummer 72 Hole Golf Challenge, and our September Charity Golf Weekend. Every donation will help and we are all extremely grateful in advance for your contribution to these causes that mean so much to us.
More information about My Name’5 Doddie Foundation: founded and spearheaded by Scottish and British Lions rugby legend Doddie Weir, who was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease in December 2016. Despite facing a terminal diagnosis at such a young age, he has inspired the Foundation to raise over £2.5 million in their first 18 months, and all funds go to support sufferers and their families, as well as research into a cure, where little progress has previously been made in the last 20 years.
