Zips 4 Haiti helps Rilouvinnx Isaac (Bilou) attend the University of Akron to complete his Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and COCINA (Coalition of Children in Need Association) is excited to help!
Zips 4 Haiti has chosen to sponsor Bilou as the first recipient of the Z4H scholarship. After recognizing Bilou's passion to change Haiti through his education, they believe he is a perfect fit.

Zips 4 Haiti started in 2014 as a senior level honors project by Zeke Isaac, a graduate of Institution Univers (and participant in COCINA's college placement program). His goal was to show American students a new culture and the true value of education. Upon completion of the first Z4H trip, a group of Akron students set out with the goal of raising a scholarship for a Haitian student to attend the University of Akron. Over the years, Z4H has hosted many fundraiser events and has received charitable donations from Valmark Financial and the JM Smucker Company. In 2016, a group of Z4H students were inspired to sell Haitian coffee and have the proceeds go towards the scholarship fund. Since then, Z4H has sold over 1000 pounds of coffee.
In December of 2017, 11 students traveled to Ouanaminthe, Haiti. They were the latest in a line of over 90 Zips to visit a city in Northern Haiti and learn from its people.
What It's Going to Take For Two Years of School
· Tuition: $31,000
· International student services fee: $1,000
· Medical insurance: $2,200
· Books: $2,000
· Living Expenses: $3,800
· Total Cost: $40,000
