Billy touched the lives of so many. As a family we know that. But after making the longest and painful journey to Bordertown SA we witnessed first hand what he meant to a whole town, the community loved him as much as we did, and as we are all hurting, the people of Bordertown have rallied around us all especially my sister. Billy loved this place, he loved his friends, his cricket and so much more.
It's our turn now to give back and thank everyone. As a family, we are doing this. All our friends have been there for us at this time in ways that have been so appreciated, but still people are asking what they can do.
Please don't feel you have to as your generosity to lauren ,matt, gary, shannon and especially Mady & Grace has not gone unnoticed.
We would like to have a seat made in Billy's memory to be placed at the school, and if possible a donation of some sort to this great town. We as Billy's family want to acknowledge the great people who have also suffered from this tragedy , Billy's class mates, his teachers, the paramedics, the hospital staff, the police, the people who have not just done their job but gone above and beyond showing us what community spirit is.
