On July 5th an infection causing severe septic shock attacked some of my fathers vital organs. His brain, lungs, and liver were all affected. After six days of being intubated and sedated they managed to bring his septic levels down taking away immediate threat to his life. Unfortunately he has been struggling with delirium caused by a mixture of sepsis and heavy sedation. He is currently in a nursing facility to help him deal with the severe memory loss. We hope that this final step is only temporary and he can come back home where he lives with us in a few weeks. This entire situation has taken quite the toll on us financially, leaving us struggling to pay household bills let alone the medical supplies we will need to bring him home that insurance will not cover.
