Billy's Heart Recovery: A Call for Support

Her name is Micki, and his name is Billy. She was a school mate of mine, long time ago, and her husband Billy has just had his SECOND open heart surgery. His first one was to replace a valve that was not working as it should. During his second operation they went in to fix an aneurysm and discovered that the valve they replaced in the first open heart surgery had become infected and was not working properly. So they fixed the aneurysm, and replaced the valve again. They also placed a pacemaker in Billy.

Open heart surgery has a long recovery time, and Micki and Billy are self employed. Of course Billy will be out of work for a good long while, and Micki will be his caregiver. As they are self employed there will be no income coming in for them, but the bills will still be in the mailbox.

I am starting this fundraiser in the hopes that friends, family, or even strangers can help alleviate the stress of wondering how they are going to pay their monthly bills with no income. Billy most certainly does not need the stress while trying to heal, and neither does Micki as I know she will.

I know times are rough all over, but if you have anything you could spare to help out these wonderful people, please do so. No amount is too small, or too big. They will be so appreciative of any help you give, in the spirit of helping your fellow man.
