Billy almost died after a day of swimming completely changed his life.   He couldnt move most of his body.   After spending almost an entire year in the hospital and post hospital rehabilitation, he knew his future would require costly medical equipment to live each day.   He would need a special shower chair which costs 800.00 just to get bathed.   

BILLY needs special automated equipment to lift his legs while in his wheelchair.   The cost of this adaptive feature is 2,000.   He needs the seat of his wheelchair to reach a height to be able to groom and feed himself, this feature also costs over 1,000.   He needs special backrests and padding and mattresses to avoid life threatening pressure sores- yet medical doesn’t cover any these costs.
