He Let the Air Out of His Tires—But Watched His Truck Go Up in Flames
Dear friends, family, and all who know and love Billy,
I'm reaching out to try to help Jenni's boyfriend, Billy, who recently experienced a devastating loss. While driving on Carova Beach to deliver and install cabinets, Billy’s truck caught fire without warning. If you ask Billy, he will tell you, "No, I don't know how it started; if I did, I wouldn't have let it catch on fire." In just minutes, flames engulfed the vehicle, leaving behind nothing but ashes and metal. Thankfully, he made it out safely, but the truck and everything inside were destroyed.
Billy is a hardworking trim carpenter and cabinet installer who relies on his truck and tools every single day. Inside the truck were his essential hand tools, ladders, sawhorses, work lights, and other equipment he uses to make a living. He had also been working in Lake Gaston for the past six weeks, so the truck was packed with his clothes, shoes, and personal belongings.
If you know Billy, you can picture how much was in that truck.
He has spent over 30 years building his career and investing in tools piece by piece. In minutes, it was all gone. In the months ahead, he’ll likely continue to realize more things that were lost.
Please consider donating or sharing this campaign with others. Let’s help him recover what he lost—and maybe grab a fire extinguisher while he's at it.
Your support—whether it’s a share, a kind word, or a donation—means the world! He also loves hugs.
