Billy Phillips is an 18 year old, warm-hearted, kind, athletic teenager with huge aspirations in life. He currently is a senior at Saint Mark's High School, where he is a varsity baseball player and has been since he was a freshman. He is a well-known left-handed pitcher and he is committed with a remarkable scholarship to the University of Maryland to play on their D1 baseball team. Billy is loved by many, especially his mother, Michelle, and his younger brother, Matty, who looks up to Billy as a hero.
Billy was diagnosed with Leukemia on March 10th. He currently is hospitalized and receiving chemotherapy treatments to beat this cancer. There is one thing about Billy that separates him from anyone I know. When he found out about his disease, he looked at his mom, put his fist up in the air for a fist pump, and simply said, “We got this.” His strength has been truly inspirational.
There is a long road ahead of him, full of more medications, treatments, and tests, which will be piling up the bills.
This fund was created in the hopes that those who love Billy or those who are intrigued by his story can donate and help pay his medical bills.
Billy is a strong boy and has faced many difficulties already in life that some people may not even face in theirs. He will fight this cancer as best as he can, and his loved ones truly believe that he is going to come out of this a warrior.
