Billy is in a heartbreaking state. He’s nothing but bones, smells of infection and decay, and there are flies gathering around his mouth. His teeth are rotten, the bone in his jaw is exposed, and all the teeth on one side will need to be removed.

The vet fears he may also have a naso-oral fistula — a hole connecting his mouth and nasal cavity — but they’ll only know for sure once he’s sedated for treatment. The vet said this kind of injury might even have come from biting an electric cord, though we can’t know for certain. What we do know is that Billy is in terrible pain. He hasn’t eaten for a week because he can’t smell food, and he’s severely dehydrated and weak, with skin tenting and a serious respiratory infection.

Despite all this, he’s still fighting and we want to give him a chance to live without suffering. We’re trying to raise £850 to cover his urgent veterinary care: fluids, antibiotics, pain relief, dental surgery, and the tests needed to give him a real chance at recovery.

Please, if you can spare anything even the cost of a coffee; it will go directly toward saving Billy’s life. Every pound helps bring him one step closer to relief from the pain he’s endured for far too long.
