Bill Tuthill Sr. had emergency colon surgery in early November, followed by 7 additional surgical procedures due to complications. Hospitalized for 41 days, 32 of which were spent in Surgical Intensive Care due to multiple & massive infections and pain, Bill is finally on the road to recovery!
His transfer to a rehabilitation facility was this past week and he faces 2 to 3 weeks of physical therapy before being discharged to a home based therapy program. Bill's surgical team estimates 4 days of rehabilitation for each day of hospitalization.
In addition to out-of-pocket costs for medical and rehabilitation, Bill will be without income for approximately 6 months.
