Don't Bury The Lead !

We'd truly appreciate it if you would consider making a donation to help Billsville House Concerts procure some new audio and production equipment.

Many of you know this, but here is our story . . .

On a rainy Tuesday night in April of 2011 Joe Pug played the first ever Billsville House Concert, spinning masterful songs before a crowd of about 50 who gathered at our house on Church Street. When Joe came back to the stage for his well deserved encore he looked at us and asked, "What song do you want to hear?" That night, and that moment launched what has become a six year journey for us and our community of supporters. Later this summer we'll host our 100th show! What a milestone!

In those years we've brought some amazing talent to our stages. Grace Potter, Lake Street Dive, Lucius, HONEYHONEY, Rayland Baxter, Anais Mitchell - the list goes on and on .

During that time our family has largely funded the entire operation via volunteer hours and capital expenditures for audio and lighting gear. Back in 2014 I wrote a tongue in cheek piece on our blog titled "We Lost More Money Than Pomplamoose." Feel free to give it a read, the bottom line back then was that our investment even back then was about $14,000 and it's continued to rise.

Here's the thing, we do it because we love it. If this were a business trying to make money we should have closed it down a long time ago but we've kept it going and it's been a hell of a ride. Now, we're going to ask for just a little bit of help.

Over time gear breaks down. Currently we're looking at two broken monitors, a massive amount of broken mic stands and a mixer that is on it's last legs. We could use a stage of some sort in order to host bigger events at "non-house" venues.

We'd like to think of this campaign as having multiple goals. If we raise X dollars we can buy Y. If we raise 2x we can . . . . so here's the priority.

New Monitors - $700
Cheap Stage (Plastic Pallets) - $500
Digital Mixer and Stage Box - $3000
Mic Stand Replacements - $300

This will be a short term campaign in order to address specific goals. We've got five stellar shows booked in the next six weeks. Thanks in advance for considering a donation!

Best,
The Billsville Crew (Ethan, Kai, Caroline, Doug and Indy)
