Ryan's Final Trip with his Dad

Donation protected
My name is Paige and I am Ryan's soon-to-be wife this coming July 2015. As the big day grows nearer I can almost feel Ryan's anxiety and heartache become stronger and stronger as the realization sets in that there will be one extra empty chair in the front row of the ceremony. Instead of seeing his dad's proud face and reassuring smile, he will instead look into the seat and see a framed photo resting gently of the hero he so desperately longs for.

Bill Andersen fought a long, grueling, and utmost courageous battle with leukemia not once, but twice. In March 2010, Bill was called home because heaven must have been needing a hero of their own, despite Ryan needing him here on earth. It was Bill's last wish to be cremated and have his ashes spread atop his favorite mountain, Mount Rainier, in Washington state by his two sons. Bill was cremated but unfortunately, due to severe depression, denial, time, and money constraints Ryan and his brother have yet to be able to take that final trip with their father and have that vital closure they both need and deserve.

I never got the chance to meet Bill, but I love him as though I did. I would like to raise $2000 to cover the cost of airline tickets, for Ryan and his brother Logan to fly out to Washington so they can share this moment together, as brothers with their father fulfilling their dad's dying wish. Ryan is in a much healthier and happier place. Even from just a year ago and he is truly starting to heal from the loss of his best friend.

As a way to honor Bill, my father in-law, as well as Ryan I wanted to raise this money by our wedding day of July 31 and surprise Ryan with this gift so he could spend the time he took off for our honeymoon, but instead take a final trip with his dad to Washington.

I don't need an extravagant honeymoon with Ryan, I don't want a honeymoon at all truthfully. I don't need anything more than to marry the man I love. What I truly want is for him to take this trip with his brother, and his dad's ashes, in place of our honeymoon so they can all get one final trip with their dad, Bill Andersen.
