Bill's Truck was Stolen

Hi, my name is Russell Moore and I have worked with Bill for two decades at the San Diego Crew Classic. There have been other events and other projects, but Bill has carved out a niche as the dedicated radioman of the Water Operations team of the event.

For three days and nights, Bill toils in a storage container to inventory, charge, and look after thousands of dollars in communications gear. The hours are long, the food is minimal and he sleeps in the trailer in the evening to rotate batteries to complete successful charges.

Bill is professional, patient, kind, and tireless. His efforts have contributed greatly to so many aspects of this wonderful rowing tradition on Mission Bay.

I have not gotten all of the details because Bill is too modest to discuss the facts. His truck was taken in front of his house. The truck was his key to earning a living and getting to and from work and occasionally doing some road trips. His passions are camping and photography. Also stolen with his truck were all of his camping gear and his camera and photo gear.

This loss is so messed up to happen to such a kind and selfless man that it hurts my soul.
