Hey Everyone:
This is a day I thought would never come. Life has a funny way of biting you in the butt.
As some of you know, my brother Bill has been in ICU for the last 30 days fighting pneumonia due to Covid-19. As you can imagine, that is going to create some rather huge medical bills. Bill had just started a new job and had yet to qualify for health insurance.
Here is his update from this morning: 10/11/2021
"As I start day 32 in the hospital, I’m going to try an update, so hold on tight as this is a hard one for me to type. Yesterday was filled with highs and lows, the highs had me smiling knowing a lot of people have my back and will do anything for Carrie and I, for all of you we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Thank you thank you thank you!!!!
Now for the low, the doc came in to talk with me and give a update on my future from what they can see in my x-rays and how my progression is going. He didn’t hold back which I appreciated, but then thought damn afterwards. So basically I have lots of scar tissue built up in my lungs, meaning I will probably be on O2 a long time, if not the rest of my life. He also mentioned the possibility of having to have a lung transplant, which is the last thing I thought I would be hearing! Obviously there’s a lot of questions that Carrie and I have, and also will be getting 2nd and more than likely 3rd opinions. Needless to say last night was a sleepless night as my mind keeps racing with so many thoughts that I don’t know what to think. We are not looking for sympathy of any sorts, just wanted everyone who has been on this journey with us to know what we are finding out. It’s a bit surreal to say the least, but we will get through it somehow, which is what we have been doing with the help of all your prayers, messages, texts, calls and etc! So please keep them coming as the next couple weeks will probably determine what my future holds for me. "
He has a long road ahead of him!
If you can donate we will greatly appreciate your help. If you can't a share and a prayer are just as appreciated.
Thank you
