Bill's Battle: Coping with Health Changes

William (Bill) Avery is waiting on disability benefits, but we've not heard back from that in months. I'm struggling to support us both, but with a 3-month unpaid leave just behind me (to help Bill get strong enough to take care of himself after 2 strokes and 2 amputations) and my new travel job paycheck not expected for 10 more days, we're unable to make ends meet.

Bill was hospitalized 5 times in 2024, has not been able to work in 18 months, has had 2 strokes and 2 amputations, and a hard uphill battle adjusting to sudden changes in mobility, lifestyle, and nearly every aspect of his life.

Close friends and family have been helpful, but with my sister's upcoming breast cancer surgery, my mother's heart surgery, and a recent death on both sides of our family, they are overburdened with calls for groceries, utilities, and other living expenses we've had to ask of them.

We have downsized some of our sporting equipment and plan on downsizing again, but those things take a bit to sell.

We are asking for your help managing our ever-growing stack of unpaid bills, living expenses, and medical costs until my paychecks start up and continue rolling in.
