Hello. My name is Danny Beck. Like a lot people I'm not one that likes asking for help; however, recent events have made me rethink my decision. In August of this year I completed a Life Scan check through my employer and discovered that I had a mass that was possibly cancerous. I had surgery immediately in September to have the mass removed and had it sent to pathology. My worst fears were realized when I learned that it was in fact cancer. The next couple months followed with doctors appointments and tests to come up with a plan on treatment. On top of this, my wife lost her job after being there for 25 years. Since that happened back in June, our credit cards were used just to survive. Now with the cancer treatments, tests, and doctors visits, the bills are behind and credit cards are maxed out. My father, back in 1986, died from cancer when I was 14 years old. My wife and I have 4 boys ages 20-12. The one thing my father said to me that sticks with me today is "I'm not done raising you yet." I don't want to have that conversation with my boys. They've had to deal with me being in danger on a daily basis due to my profession as a Police Officer, but this new battle I face may be a little more difficult. To cover bills and appointments I've had to take out small loans, as well as sell my truck. Now being so far behind we are not sure where to turn, or where we may end up.

Anything we receive will go to catching up on bills, doctors appointments and treatments (including CT scans, etc.) that the doctors have requested. I have been told that this cancer fight could take years, but I plan on fighting it head on.
