Bills & a trip to Nebraska

Oziah was born with nec (necrotizing enterocolitis) and two wholes in his small intestine causing him to not be able to poop. he was at umc hospital in the nicu for a month & finally being sent home with a ostomy bag with his small intestines sitting on his stomach for 5 months . We came back to umc for surgery to put his small intestine back in his stomach to connect to his colon .

Everything went fine till a couple hours later he coded after giving my son constant Tylenol, zofron and fentanyl after I told the nurses he was pale and freezing cold !!

drs rushed him back to the operating room to take his small intestines back out and he came back on a ventilator 30 to a hour later

he was on it for a week and half with his intestines siting in a bag out his stomach, drs are having conferences with me and his family every single day telling us they don’t think my son is going to make it … that he caught rhino in the operating room meanwhile him being negative for the viruses before even going into surgery and that the rhino virus got through his blood and that being the reason for his coding , after 2 days being on a ventilator and seeing his intestines through the bag his intestines is completely dead

they then take him back to the operating room cut off 109cm of his small intestine with a remaining of just 4cm of it we sit and have another conference saying he needs a transplant needing us to transfer to Omaha Nebraska to see a specialist in short gut syndrome he’s currently on tpn ( a feeding line through his chest that connects to a main vein by his heart) and also a gtube with daily night feeds & medications daily. His medical condition is life threatening if he doesn’t have the proper care…

I’m currently without a job because we are in and out the hospital and I do have a 6 month old daughter I recently lost my car due to me being behind on payments and we also do have our own home but with no help I can’t afford to lose that as well !

anything helps and I’m still so blessed and grateful to have my son here with me today with prayer there is power !!
