Billie needs surgery for his collar injury

Donation protected
Billie has been surrendered to us after straying for a long time in the Talbot Green area. During this time his front use became stuck through his collar which had led to a nasty collar injury under Billie’s arm where the collar has cut into his flesh. These collar injuries are hard to heal because of their location and when they don’t heal they can
leaf to leg amputation of even result in the cat being pts. We don’t want that to happen to Billlie so we are doing everything we can to help him to heal from this.
However he has had the injury nearly a year now - it clearly isn’t going to heal without help. Billie has already had one surgery to bring the skin together over the wound but unfortunately after 5 days the sutures came apart. I’ve posted a photo of the wound when it was stitched up. I cannot post pictures of the open wound as they are too graphic.
Now Billie needs a second surgery and possibly more than one if this one isn’t fully successful. We have sought out a vet who is experienced in collar injuries. We have been quoted £800 - £900 for this surgery and there will likely be post op costs or more surgeries.
We have so many cats needing expensive vet care atm, please help if you can
