Billi Jo - I'm a Survivor!

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Anne Otremba. I am raising funds for our daughter, Billi Jo Kruse.
Billi Jo, her husband Matt; and two daughters live lives like most families. Billi Jo works as a surgery tech, Matt works in retail, Nicole is in College (and also works in retail), and Sandra is in high school (and works as a hostess serving food). The dog and cats mostly lay around while they wait for the humans to come home. Not a glamorous life; but a good life. Until the evening of January 22, 2023.
Billi Jo was driving to work in the slow lane of the highway when she was hit by another vehicle from behind. She was hit so hard that it shattered the back window of her car and bent the frame. Billi Jo pulled the car over to the side of the road. The truck that hit her was behind her in the ditch. The apologetic driver came up to her driver's door and asked if she was okay. He was shivering. Billi Jo is a caring and trusting person. She has always been a caregiver. From animals to people. If you need care; she's going to help. She asked the man if he would like to wait for the police in her car. He was very grateful.
Once inside her car, it all changed. The man disconnected the call to 911. And to her horror; It only got worse from there. The seatbelt had locked from the impact; so Billi Jo could hardly move. When the man began his assault; she could hardly move to defend herself. By the time he had gotten her seatbelt undone and the door open to push her out of the car; he had beaten her face so badly that she will need a lot of dental work. Her face was so swollen and bruised that when I first was able to see her. I could hardly hold my tears. The man not only hit her; he bit her, and he pulled her hair with some of it out.
While being tossed from the car, and onto the road, Billi Jo's arm became stuck in the seatbelt. This man did not care, as he drove off with her car, and began to drag her down the road.
We are lucky that she is alive. Billi Jo somehow became free from the car, and miraculously was not run over by her car, or any of the passing motorists.
A wonderful woman stopped to help Billi Jo. The police came. The ambulance came.
Billi Jo's life will never be the same. I have watched as this strong, determined, and independent woman became a shell of her former self. A person that now doesn't want to leave her home. A person that was able to laugh at almost anything now looks ready to cry.
The vehicle - Not only was it Carjacked - when they found it and took it to the insurance company- it was totaled.
Billi Jo - She cannot return to work until her concussion is fully healed. This will be at the very least another 4 weeks. She needs to see a Neurologist, a Trauma Therapist, and a very good Dentist. She may even lose one of her front teeth.
When Billi Jo is cleared to go back to work; she will need a vehicle.
We are hoping, that by raising these funds, they will help to cover these costs; and alleviate some of the suffering inflicted by this man.
As a mother, I have always been there. Helping to fix all the bumps and bruises that came her way. I cannot do that this time. I do not have the skills that will help her. I feel useless and helpless. I just cannot fix this.
Please help me, help my daughter.
