Bill Hoy's Pilgrimage to Lourdes

On December 8th, 2015, following the diagnosis of an AVM, Bill Hoy, the beloved husband, dad, grandpa, jokester, friend, "pool man", and rock for our community was the victim of a post-operative bleed after a brain surgery that left him without movement, speech, the ability to swallow, and more. While the time has passed and answers are being asked for, life has moved ahead. He was the sole financial provider for his five children and wife because of his strong work-ethic that built his successful company. Unfortunately, being the President of a small-family-owned business left his tight nit family to take over. With his angel of a wife being his 24/7 caregiver, his 23 year old daughter holding the fort down at the construction firm, his three daughters out of state for work and college being his right hand supporters, and his 17 year old son becoming the stand-in man-of-the-house & Bill's liaison for his other two companies (classic cars and guns) - the family has stayed afloat to the best of their abilities. Bill has done so much for his church, children's elementary and middle school & high school, local Little Leagues, city government and more without ever asking recognition or anything in return. While he would never ask for help, I am taking the stand to ask all to consider giving back to a man and family who have given our community more than we can ever repay.

Bill has recently been notified that he was chosen to go to Lourdes by the Order of the Knights of Malta. They will be hosting all expenses for him, though his wife/caretaker will have to cover her cost. He is humbled to be given this opportunity in the hope of healing to any given capacity through this spiritual and faith-filled pilgrimage.
