Bill's Road to Recovery!

As most of you already know, Bill Fuller was hit by a vehicle in front of his parent’s home in Harrison, ME before he could even start his morning run. Bill and his wife Agnes were there to celebrate his sister’s wedding over the weekend when the accident happened. The driver of the vehicle was distracted, went off the road and hit Bill while he was at the end of the driveway. Bill’s wife and mother were standing on the porch and witnessed it all. 

Bill was severely injured and Life Flight was called to take him to CMMC. He was later sent by med-flight to Brigham and Woman’s Hospital in Boston. The injuries he sustained are unspeakable and it’s nothing short of incredible that he survived and hopefully will make a full recovery. He’s fighting a broken leg, torn ACL, broken jaw, palate and cheek bones. He was put into a medical induced coma for a period of time to protect his brain from swelling. Since arriving in Boston, he has had two surgeries, one on his knee, as well as a seven hour surgery on his face.  

He’s on the road to recovery but the road ahead will be long. He is not able to put weight on his knee for approximately 2 months and will have his jaw wired shut for 4 weeks. With their recent move to Florida, both Bill and his wife will be out of work while they figure out recovery plans in New England. We want to help Bill and Agnes with the ever mounting cost for transportation, copays, deductibles, flights, time out of work, etc. We wish insurance paid for everything, but we know that isn’t the case. Your donations will go straight to Bill and Agnes to help with all cost and debt that goes with being seriously injured and out of work for an extended period of time.
