Billboard for Leona #MMIW
Donation protected
I am humbly asking for donations to help with a one year lease on an outdoor billboard to help generate leads to find my mom, Leona LeClair Kinsey. We can lease a 5x10 freestanding billboard next to a major stop for one year for roughly $1600.
Leona was last heard from on October 25, 1999 when she told her best friend that she would come over after she met a man named John at Albertsons’ grocery store in LaGrande, OR. When she didn’t show up, her friend worried and began checking on her. Leona’s purse, keys, glasses, pager, beloved pets, and a full carton Merits; her favorite cigarettes were left behind. She was only 45 years old. She was a loving grandmother, mother, sister, auntie and friend.
Over the years rumors about what happened to her have circulated through this quiet, little, country town. Someone out there knows something. We just need a break. We need that missing piece of the puzzle.
Everyday, I pray for that one call that breaks her case open. I pray that someone’s conscience is pushing them to come forward and we will be able to bring her home soon.
Help us bring her home. She deserves to be laid to rest properly. She is loved. She is missed. She matters!
