Hi, I'm Dawn Young, Bill's wife. On Aug 10, 2021, Bill was hit at a dead stop by a car traveling at least 45 mph. He's in serious condition and is still in the hospital with a broken back - 3 vertebrae are broken - among other things. His GI tract completely shut down, his bowels are extremely distended and traditional meds aren't helping. His condition is deteriorating, but we're hopeful the administration of a risky drug this afternoon will finally clear his bowels. I'll give updates through this platform.

He's going to need extensive physical therapy for his broken back once he's released and he won't be able to go back to work for quite some time, if he can go back at all. As you probably know, short term and long term disability don't pay very well, and I'm not sure right now if he even has long term disability through his employer.

Bill is a very good man, a very kind faithful Christian, and doesn't deserve this pain he's enduring which will probably stay with him the rest of his life. He's a loving son, husband, and father. For 10 years he's donated his time to a baseball league for disabled children and adults. I'm asking for funds to keep our household going. Bill's in a tremendous amount of pain. He doesn't need the stress of also having to worry about mounting bills. Please, please help us get through this very tough time and donate anything you can, even if it's just $1.
