In this family nobody fights alone.
This fundraiser is being done to assist our cousin with any and all expenses that will occur for his treatment. As detailed in the story below, Bill will need to travel back and forth to Rochester for treatment. All money raised will be transferred directly to the family to use for any expenses tied to this cancer fight.
March is Colon Cancer Awareness Month and the disease has affected one of our own.
If you are not aware, Bill was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer. The cancer has metastasized and will require aggressive chemotherapy regimens. Bill had his first treatment locally in Utica but will require the remainder of his treatment in Rochester, NY. This will require extensive travel back and forth. Bill did receive his second treatment in Rochester this week (March 4th) and will return in 2 weeks for another treatment. As he continues to focus on his health, I am asking anyone that has the ability to help to please do so.
Due to COVID restrictions, we are unable to host a benefit that the family deserves. In lieu of that, we are setting up this page. They are one of the firsts to offer a helping hand and would never ask for help however, as a family we know the expenses that will come with this type of treatment and travel. With a lot of discussion and permission, this GoFundMe has been started.
If you are unable to assist however would like to send a card of well wishes, you can mail a card to Bill Whitney ℅ Tammy Wolcott - 205 Clinton St. - Oriskany, NY 13424.
The family expresses its sincere gratitude for all that has been done for Bill so far. Please join us as we rally around Bill to offer a lending hand, support, a prayer and to let him know this family doesn't fight alone.
