Bill Thom~Medical Expenses Kidneys & Dementia

Hello, my name is Charity. I have been friends with Bill for about 13 years. He has become family.

Many people in Pennsville NJ are familar with Bill Thom. He was a staple at the Acme in the produce section for many years. He retired from full time and went back to work in produce part time.

Since he retired he has faced many health issues. The first year of his retirement he underwent a triple bypass, then prostate cancer, now he is facing kidney failure.

Over the last year he has been having mild dementia issues which has lead to him now having a lot financial issues. With the new medical issues he will be facing a large amount of medical bills in addition to the ones he is still paying for the other issues.

Most recently he went into kidney failure and had to have an emergency Permcath put in for immediate dialysis. The kidney failure has intensified his dementia.

The hope is to send him from the hospital to a facility close to home so that he can have friend come visit regularly to help keep his spirits up. He will need to be there for a few months and possible long term. He is confused about his situation which has led to depression. At times he remembers his financial situation and the realization of medical bills to come causes him immense stress.

My goal is to help him cover his past due bills and his medical costs so that it is one less weight on his shoulders and he can focus on healing.
