On Weds before Thanksgiving Bill Seymour was hit head-on by an unlicensed uninsured felony suspect evading police at an estimated closure speed of 150mph. Bill began his holiday season as a disabled self-employed sole family provider and active community volunteer including years of service on the Board of Directors for PIPEX before suffering 12 broken ribs, a cracked sternum, perforated bowels followed by multiple surgeries to save his left leg and heel. His prognosis is that he might learn to walk again in 12 weeks. The undocumented felon was life flighted in worse shape without a shred of insurance. The unisured motorist insurance policy will likely cover the car but there is very little safety net for Bill's loss of income due to such a tragic & horrific accident. A lengthy interuption of his business could also result in the permanent loss of customers during a 12-14 week recovery.
Our goal is $50,000 for an interim care facility, new motorized cart and "hands only" driving enhancements to his replacement vehicle.
