Help Bill Pless and family

Donation protected
Bill is a rogue valley local. Him and his partner Amy started dating a few years back, they were part of the same crazy friend group and just clicked. He effortlessly stepped into the role of dad to Amy’s son, Sam and the three have become quite the happy little family. Bill enjoys re-building old cars and participating in the Gambler 500 with his friends (if you don’t know, look it up!), he loves having people over to his house for gatherings, is friends with all his neighbors, enjoys shooting guns in the woods and is hilarious and just a good natured guy. Bill epitomizes the term “child at heart”

On Wednesday night (12/9) Bill suffered a very bad accident involving a fire pit in his front yard and gasoline, the entire front of his body is sustained severe burns. He was taken by ambulance to the ER in Medford and then flown to a specialty burn unit in Portland for care, primarily for the damage done to his lungs. He is currently being kept in a medically-induced coma and his condition is considered critical, but stable. His road to recovery will be a long one. He could be up in Portland for months and will go through several procedures and surgeries over the next several weeks. But Bill is young and strong and has a beautiful family and a ton of friends rooting and praying for him, we have no doubt he will get though this.

Amy is currently up in Portland staying at a hotel and was allowed to see Bill today, but will need to return to Medford for her job and to care for Sam.  Amy will have to make the commute to Portland frequently over the next several weeks or months to be able to visit him which will be expensive.

On top of that Bill does not have health insurance.

This is a sweet, fun, young family with an extremely difficult journey ahead of them. If you can do anything to lessen their burden, please donate. No amount is too small.

All the money collected from this campaign with be given to Amy and Bill’s mother, Gina,  who are making his medical decisions at this time to use however they feel is best.

It’s with a heavy heart that I’m going to edit this fundraiser to say that Bill passed away on 1/22 after fighting with everything his damaged body had left.
Amy, Gina and Sam will need our financial support as they mourn his loss.
