BILL PHAN MEDICAL FUND
On July 11, our dear friend and beloved husband of Tiffany, Bill Phan suffered a major stroke on the plane while flying back from Florida. The massive stroke has left him paralyzed, unable to speak, and to be fed from feeding tubes. He was treated at UCLA hospital and has moved into nursing home for 24/7 care. It will be a long and hard recovery for Bill as the doctors say some of the damages are irreversible and he will never be able to go back to normal. Even with therapy, he will most likely have to use a wheelchair and feeding tubes for life.
Unfortunately, his Medicare insurance does not cover long term care such as nursing home or the extensive physical therapy required. As some of you may know, both Bill and Tiffany have been unemployed for a while. The medical cost has quickly eroded away their savings, as the basic nursing home costs average $8,000 a month.
Bill and Tiffany are very kind and generous people who are always willing to help those in need. We are their friends and it is heartbreaking for us to witness their suffering through this great tragedy. If you know this couple, they will never ask for help, but we know they need it this time. All funds raised will go toward the medical costs for Bill. Any donation is welcome and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
