Bill & Patti Sahlinger's Support Fund

Hello!

As members of Bill and Patti Sahlinger’s “Karma-Helpers” team, we are reaching out to you today to ask for your help as they are experiencing catastrophic health, medical and legal pressures on them right now.

 

Bill, 88 years old, has been dealing with severe health problems during the past year and is now bedridden and on Hospice care. Patti, 80 years old, is Bill’s primary caregiver, which has taken a toll on her health and well-being.

 

Bill and Patti have lived in their home at Beckett Point for 28 years. They have built a life for themselves in the Beckett Point Fishermen’s Club community and the surrounding city of Port Townsend.

 

In September of 2021, a legal property suit and Lis Pendens (“legal hold”) were filed against Bill and Patti’s home, restricting access to their home equity. The ongoing litigation, combined with increased medical costs, has contributed to an unexpected increase in monthly expenses, which their fixed income cannot accommodate.

 

These folks have “Paid It Forward” and have given so much to our community, including Patti serving as Club secretary for 20 years. We want to help these friends and community members relieve the financial burdens they are experiencing and support them through their time of need.

 

We are asking for your help to reach our goal of $10,000. The funds will be used for ongoing medical costs and general expenses for the home.
