William Mark Misaras passed away on February 7th, 2020 at the age of 62, in Three Rivers, Michigan where he was currently residing. Even though his passing took him from this world too early, his passion and caring nature will carry on in friends and family.

Born to George and Helen Misaras on April 22, 1958. He grew up in Berkley, Michigan where upon graduating high school, enlisted in the Army. Stationed at Fort Belvoir, Virginia as Patient Care Specialist at the 15th Combat Support Hospital. After his discharge from the service, he enrolled at Mercy College in Detroit and continued his studies to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration.

Seeing the specialized care that his father and grandfather needed in later years influenced his career field in a way that became his lifelong passion. William went on to work in several senior care facilities as a nursing home administrator. He was a powerful advocate for his residents' rights, believing that a building should not only provide care for one's needs, but continue to allow a person to live with dignity and fulfillment in their lives.

William’s love for his family was endless as well. He was checking in whenever he could, even if it was just to share something that made him think of them. He is survived by his son, Benjamin Misaras and significant other Christopher Genther, step-daughter, Ashley Baney-Minnich and son-in-law Karl, their mother, Sandra Misaras, three beautiful grandchildren, Gabe, Cyan, and Hazel, his brother George Taylor and sister-in-law Dawn, his girlfriend Becky Gamble, and his two cat sidekicks, Robin and Hawke. He is predeceased by his parents George and Helen Misaras.

Funds raised will go towards a Memorial in his honor at The Detroit Zoo.
