Bill Meuse Cancer

Hi,

 

My name is Amie Meuse and I need to raise money. Over the last year and a half my husband Bill has had medical issues which have prevented him from working for extended periods of time. During this time our medical insurance lapsed because he was unable to work enough hours. During the lapse in coverage we incurred medical bills for an ER visit and medications. Before his last uncovered ER visit he was able to power through the pain to work enough hours to regain health insurance coverage. Recently his leg pain got so bad he has been unable to walk and shortly after he started coughing up blood. I rushed him to MGH again and after a series of tests he was admitted to the MGH oncology unit as the results of the latest tests indicate he has cancer, a blood clot in his legs, and pulmonary embolisms in his lungs. The doctors are working to determine the extent of the cancer and have started treament for the other issues. His exact prognosis is to be determined but what we do know for certain is its unlikely he will be going back to work. We were in a bad financial situation before but now it has become much worse. I've been working but have had to take time off to help Bill. We've been selling things, borrowing money, and our kids have been contributing to help keep up with the bills but its not nearly enough.
