Family & Friends are raising money for medical costs and living expenses for Bill & Martha Hillis as they continue to deal with Bill's Multiple Myeloma diagnosis and treatment. As many of you know, Bill’s cancer was already in an advanced stage when it was found. He was in a full leg cast for many months, is now using a leg brace, and needs a wheelchair to get around. While Bill's employer was awesome during the initial phases of his treatment, they eventually had to let him go since he is unable to work, which means they currently have no income, and they now have to pay for their own health insurance. As you can imagine, these costs can be staggering. Bill & Martha have lived frugally, and they've saved for retirement, but we really don't want to see them spend a large percentage of their retirement savings in the next few months or years while they navigate this medical situation and wait for disability to get approved.
