Bill Lawson's Growing Medical Bills

Donation protected
I am one of Bill Lawson's daughters. We have come together as a family to try to raise money for our father's growing medical bills. On August 19th, while we were all in Georgia for my niece's wedding that my dad was to officiate, he was outside and fell. He got tripped up and fell, shattering his left leg and breaking his right shoulder. He had one surgery on his leg and then a few days later, another surgery on his shoulder. After the surgeries they discovered he had 3 blood clots in his lungs. They have placed him on medication for this and monitoring him closely. He spent the rest of August in a hospital in Gwinnett County before being moved to an intense rehab facility. He has therapy 3x a day. The medical bills, the cost after insurance, are growing exponentially. We know that my dad's portion of the hospital visit with the 2 surgeries is in excess of $16,000. Based on the cost of the rehab facility, we are estimating that his portion is currently $36,000 and growing. He is still in a lot of pain almost a month later. It is extememly difficult to attempt to get comfortable.

I come to you today on behalf of my entire family to urge you to give whatever you can and to share this with everyone you know. Please continue to pray for our dad for healing, progress during his therapy and an encouraged spirit. Please pray for my mom for strength, comfort and an encouraged spirit. My mom has been the only one aloud to visit my dad. Sure, one of us could take her "spot" and go visit but that would mean my mom couldn't visit again until the next day. And that would break my dad's heart.

Now, let me tell you a little bit about my dad, Bill Lawson. He was born in 1942 in a little town in Florida. He and my mom married in 1966. He was a lineman for many years while going to school at UF to be an engineer. When I was still in high school, we moved from Florida to Georgia. They have 4 children and so many amazing grandchildren and great grandchildren. They have always been very involved with all of them. They show them so much love, the kind of love where your kids didn't want to leave Granny and Grandpa's house when you went to pick them up. We are so blessed to have him in our lives. To know him is to love him. It pains us to watch him hurting.

Please give what you can and share....share.....share. Thank you so much for your help and your prayers. May God bless you and your family.
