Hi, everyone. My name is Shannon Lambert and I am currently student at the College of New Jersey. I normally do not like to ask others for money and or/help, but my family has been presented with something that has put us in a very difficult financial situation. My father, William Lambert, has been dealing with Chronic Kidney Disease for many years, but within the last month, his condition has spiraled out of control. He is now at stage 4 of the disease and is in need of dialysis or a kidney transplant very soon. For those who do not know, once a person’s kidneys fail, the damage is irreversible and can even lead to death. My father, who worked incessantly at the Mt. Laurel Post Office, is also unable to return to his job, because he is too weak.


Since his hospital stay in May, my father has been inundated with medical bills. Due to the fact that he cannot work, my father is having a difficult time paying for all of the medical care that he is receiving and will have to endure in the near future. As his daughter, it is very scary to watch my father’s health deteriorate so quickly. I want to do everything in my power to help him through this process and fund the treatment, but I am unable to do it alone.


I understand that many of you may not be able to contribute because of difficult circumstances that you may be going through, but if you are able to donate any money, my family and I would be eternally grateful. All of the money that is donated would be used to help pay for his medical bills, such as doctor appointments and dialysis treatments. Also, if you cannot donate money, simply sharing this link to get the word out would would mean the world to me. This has been a very stressful year for my family, so all of the support I can get is truly appreciated.
