On December 28, 2020 Bill was rushed to the ER and remained in the ICU for three weeks.   Those three weeks were filled with hope, immense sorrow and painful waiting.  On Monday January 18, Bill succumbed to his injuries.   Bill's fight and struggle was over.

Bill Kontur embodies the true meaning of a Mensch.  A man who acts with integrity and honor.  A man who is kind and considerate.  As we mourn the loss of a Husband, Father and Friend, we want to allow others to express their story of how Bill brought joy, laughter and some of the most incredible smoked meats and cheeses to their lives.  Bill was a man that loved a good joke, enjoyed debate and always had a supporting word and hand for those that called him a friend.  His love and support of his children as they pursue a career in the theatre was one of pride and excitement as he watched their amazing performances.  He was the most caring and supportive husband, often sending flowers and gifts to his wife just because.  Bill always gave his time and talent whenever asked and made friends all along the way.
