Hello, my name is Irik and I’m fundraising for our friend and colleague, Bill, who has an amazing opportunity in front of him. After submitting a 5-year body of work, Bill was successfully juried in as one of only 64 people to attend and display at a prestigious photography symposium (the Chico Review) being held this March in Montana. The art world being the art world though, the symposium requires selected photographers to pay a high attendance fee, which is why I am here on GoFundMe.
This is something Bill has been working towards for years, and photography truly is his passion. If Bill can attend this symposium, he will have the opportunity to meet and talk with several of his photography idols, as well as have his work professionally evaluated by some of the biggest names in the business. Plus, at the end of the event, one of the attendees will be selected to have their work published and distributed by the event organizer, which is a career-changing opportunity.
What we are trying to raise:
$4,350 for the symposium attendance fee
$1,650 for Bill’s travel expenses (travel, hotel, food, getting prints made, etc.)
Bill works as a landscaper for a non-profit organization, where he thoughtfully creates calming, natural settings for folks who are down on their luck. When not at work, Bill pursues his passion for photography by wandering around small West Coast towns capturing haunting images of still, disquieted spaces. See his work on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/twocrowspictures/
Please help support Bill to take advantage of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
Thank you for reading!
