Bill Forbes and family

Jessica Meleskie is organizing this gofundme on behalf of Bill Forbes and his wife, Dawn. On January 27, 2023, Bill was involved in a horrific head-on car accident on his way home from work. He sustained over 30 injuries, including his ankles, legs, knees, hips, ribs and one lung, sternum, shoulder and arm. He was very lucky to not have any brain or head injuries. He has undergone multiple surguries and is currently in the ICU in St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto, recovering. We're thrilled to see that he is now awake, able to move his toes, hands, and his arm, and is aware of his surroundings. A long time Canadiens' fan, he's enjoying listening to the game and getting updates. He even asked for an update on the Superbowl while it was on.

Update Feb 16- Bill is off the ventilator and breathing on his own, able to get up in a wheelchair to get to physio with a mechanical hoist , and eating and drinking, and he’s now out of the ICU. Some great progress in just a few days! He still has a long road ahead but we are so happy to see this progress.

update Feb 19 - Bill unfortunately has an infection which has set him back a little, he’s having some trouble breathing and is having difficulty swallowing and feeding himself again. We’re hoping this clears up quickly and he’s back on his way to recovery.
