Hello

As some of you may know I have not been in the public eye or posted on social media in a while. I have been unable to go out to see friends, attend shows, or even perform myself which is how I make a living. These last several months have been a life-changing experience I wish I didn’t have to endure. It began last year and I have been in and out of the hospital multiple times since December and the last time in February it landed me in a physical rehabilitation and treatment facility, where I had been for almost a month until my insurance was no longer covering it. Since the start of this, I have lost over 50 pounds(not in a good way) which has left me constantly fatigued and without the strength and ability to walk or even take care of myself.

I’ve now seen multiple specialists and have done several tests to now understand my diagnosis and plan to hopefully regain my health and strength. I am heartbroken to share with you that I have been diagnosed with Cancer. I am fortunate that my doctor believes it is treatable however the concern is that I am not physically strong enough to fight it. This has been an extremely difficult process and horrible result but now I know what I’m up against and I’m ready to fight to regain my health and life.

As of this week, I am living at a specialized care facility in Spring Valley where they will give me physical therapy and are helping take care of me for the next few months while I undergo my treatment. My treatment plan as of now consists of me needing at least one procedure to implant a stent to regain normal kidney and bladder function and they will place an IV port into my chest for immune therapy and chemotherapy.

Here is where you come in. These treatments along with my daily physical therapy, my need for transport to and from all of my appointments, and my need to live in a full-time care facility in order to take care of myself have left me in a place of need. My Medicare coverage does not cover all that is needed and being that I have not been able to make a living for months I am asking for your kindness and assistance with what I’m facing in the months ahead. I will try and continue to produce my scheduled shows at The Summit remotely from my bed as long as my friends will continue to perform at them and support them. I otherwise have no real source of income over the next few months while I undergo treatment.

I greatly appreciate all your kindness, love, and support more than you could ever know. I promise to use any funds received through this campaign to go toward my medical treatment, therapy, and recovery care. With your help, I can fight and beat this and will get back to doing what I love onstage sitting behind the piano and singing for you. All your words of encouragement, love, and support help boost my spirits and keep me going through this difficult time. All I can say is thank you and please keep them coming.
