Bill Collison Needs Our Help...So Here We Are
Donation protected
This is Bill. Bill is just…Bill. Bill has what some consider a bad habit – he never asks for help, even when he truly needs it. He puts his own needs aside more times than not, rather taking care of his friends and making sure they are okay. Bill can be strong willed and opinionated but that is because he feels strongly about the topic, but he tries very hard to treat people with respect and will “fall on his sword” when he is in the wrong, but he is also human and makes mistakes.
Bill’s line of work is not like my or your line of work. He works for Baltimore Knife and Sword, making weaponry that is sold across the US at renaissance festivals or used in stage combat. Due to coronavirus, most of the renaissance festivals have cancelled and Broadway and playhouses have shuttered which means Bill has been out of work. He unsuccessfully applied for unemployment and for contractor unemployment and because he was declined, his bank account has gotten smaller and smaller while his bills keep getting larger and larger. Right now, Bill has little to no income coming in and trying to find a replacement job has been challenging. To top it off because of all the cancellations, there is no overtime to be had so no opportunity to play catch up. Currently, he is dangerously close to losing his home as he is behind on both his mortgage and lot rent as well as behind on his utilities. Even though there are protections through the CARE Act in place, some of those protections are coming to an end. The land management company is now threatening eviction as he is 3 months in arrears to the tune of over $3,000. He is afraid to use his stove because he is scary low on propane, so he has been cooking on his grill which is now falling apart. To get the propane refilled, it will be approximately $1,000 to bring the account current and pay for the refill….all of this on top of the mortgage, cable, internet and electricity which are all behind.
Coronavirus is not going away in anytime soon, and with the ongoing cancellations in Bill’s “universe”, this situation is not going to improve in the near future. Again, Bill is trying to find a source of other income, but the stress of this situation is now impacting his health, both physically and mentally. Knowing that Bill has a hard time asking for help we, meaning Kat and Jen, are asking for him. We know we all are hurting right now financially, but if you can help out, we know that Bill will be incredibly grateful. He may not be able to ever pay you back monetarily, but he will find a way to show his gratitude.
Thanks for listening and considering helping. Truly, it is appreciated.
